The Northland Foundation Board of Trustees has approved financing totaling $1,010,800 to the following four organizations.
Duluth Steel Fabricators, Inc., Duluth
Through its Business Finance Program, the Northland Foundation offers flexible financing to new or existing businesses and nonprofit organizations in the seven-county Arrowhead Region as well as Superior/Douglas County, Wisconsin to help create and retain high-quality jobs and sustain economic vitality.
Over the past 23 years, this program has evolved into one of the largest regionally-based development finance programs in Minnesota. Since 1988, nearly $45 million has been invested in 450 businesses and nonprofit organizations, which has helped leverage more than $256 million in other, mostly private investments and assisted borrowers to create and retain 6,500 jobs in the region.
