Accomplished with the tremendous help of many funding and community partners, highlights of the Northland Foundation’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2012, are listed below.

Highlights of Fiscal Year 2011-12

• Celebrated 25 years as an organization with a gathering of community and funding partners whose dedication to Northland Foundation’s mission has helped make a meaningful difference to the people and communities of our region
• Awarded $1,105,289 through 187 grants made to nonprofit organizations, with a continued focus on critical human services to individuals and families who are struggling the most with economic hardship
• Received a $5 million Program Related Investment, which is a low-interest long-term loan, from The McKnight Foundation to help further and deepen Northland Foundation’s work in rural northeastern Minnesota
