Free to licensed child care providers in Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis counties. Supporting family engagement is considered a hallmark of high-quality early childhood programs and is emphasized as a part of developmentally appropriate practice. In order to be responsive to our programs and families, we also need to be more knowledgeable and aware of how to engage our communities in supporting our programs and families. Participants will assess their current level of engagement, examine strategies, and draft a plan for developing and strengthening engagement of their families and communities.
