kpi Reading Aloud Basics
with Tom Fitzpatrick of the Minnesota Humanities Center

Parents, grandparents, child care providers, paraprofessional staff, volunteer readers, teachers, and all interested community members are invited to this dynamic presentation by Tom Fitzpatrick of the Minnesota Humanities Center. He will share how reading to children impacts lifelong development, tips for reading aloud, and story-related activities to help young listeners gain the most from each reading experience.

Introduction to FRED (hosting a FRED training)

Teachers, administrators, child care providers, social service professionals, and all others interested in father/child literacy programs are invited to learn more about hosting a FRED event. The Minnesota Humanities Center has partnered with community organizations to host more than 200 of the two-part FRED series across the state in which more than 7,000 fathers and other male caregivers have participated.
