Northland will introduce new, web-based grant application process this month

“We will be here to assist grantees with questions or concerns they have as we make this change.”

The Northland Foundation is pleased to announce that within the next few months, the Foundation will move to a web-based portal for organizations applying for grant funding. The new system will allow organizations to submit their grant requests as well as grant reports online. The software will also give grantee organizations the ability to view and retrieve their prior grants and reports.

The portal is part of a robust grant management system the Northland Foundation has recently invested in.

“This software will enhance the staff's ability to manage the grantmaking process, as well as allow us to better understand the work our grantees are undertaking and the impact they are having,” stated Erik Torch, Director of Grantmaking at Northland.

“This has been a major shift for Northland and will also be a major shift for our grantees. We have been working very hard over the past several months to make this a smooth transition,” added Torch.

The intent is to begin rolling out the grant portal by the end of February. With the exception of Youth In Philanthropy grants, applicants for all other funding will be able to use the online process. Stay tuned for more information on this convenient, powerful tool!
