Meet our three new Board Trustees: Victoria Hagberg, Angie Miller, and Shaye Moris

The Northland Foundation Board has elected three new Trustees. They are Victoria Hagberg, Angie Miller, and Shaye Moris. Each was elected to a three-year term with the opportunity to serve three terms total.

The Board also elected Diane Rauschenfels as the 2014-15 Chair, Steve Downing as Vice Chair, and Trent Janezich as Secretary/Treasurer. They join the full Board in welcoming the three newest members.

Victoria Hagberg

Vicki Hagberg

Vicki Hagberg, Hibbing, is a geotechnical engineer in the Hibbing office of Barr Engineering. Vicki earned an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Hibbing Community College and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Case Western Reserve University. She was appointed to the Better IRRRB Task Force as well as the IRRRB NextGen Task Force. She has mentored students through College for Kids, Math Career Day, and Engineering Cool, and has volunteered with several other boards including the Buhl Curling Club Board, and the American Society of Civil Engineering.

Angie Miller

Angie Miller

Angie Miller, Duluth, is the executive director at Community Action Duluth and currently also a board member for Center City Housing, the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, and the Duluth LISC Advisory Board. Angie recently served an interim four-month term as St. Louis County Commissioner. Angie was a St. Louis County foster parent for six years and founded the Loaves and Fishes community in Duluth, alongside her late husband Steve O’Neil. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University and master’s degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth, both in social work.

Shaye Moris

Shaye Moris

Shaye Moris, Duluth, is the executive director at Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. Shaye holds bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communication, Journalism, and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. In addition to her years of leadership at the Food Bank, Shaye has extensive community involvement experience, including serving as a board and/or committee member with the Duluth Salvation Army, Duluth Hunger Coalition, Minnesota Food Bank Network, Hunger Solutions Minnesota, Feeding America, and Twin Ports Area Non-Profit Coalition, among others.

Dave Clusiau of Hibbing has retired from the Board after completing three, 3-year terms including serving as the 2012-13 Chair. Jeff Corey, the outgoing Chair, will stay on as Immediate Past Chair to provide additional support through the leadership transition.

“It was a tremendous advantage to have begun my tenure on this Board alongside dedicated Trustees such as Dave and Jeff,” said Diane Rauschenfels, the new Chair. “They have set a terrific example of service for current and incoming Trustees alike.”
