$300,000 in investments approved to three businesses in the region in first quarter

Through the Business Finance Program, the Northland Foundation offers flexible financing options for new or existing businesses and nonprofit organizations in northeastern Minnesota to support economic growth and help businesses to create or save quality jobs. Many financing projects include partnering with other financial institutions to provide the total level of financing that a client needs.

The following loans have recently been approved by the Board of Trustees:

• Hermantown Lumber Company, Hermantown

• LIPE Brothers Construction, Inc., Duluth

An additional Quick Turn Loan project, made in partnership with the borrower's bank, was made to:

• Aftenro Society, Duluth
