Licensed child care providers working in northeastern Minnesota are invited to register to attend free trainings on December 2 in Cloquet. The trainings are offered through our Parent Aware Pathways Initiative in partnership with Child Care Aware.
During the morning training, learn about setting boundaries with families to allow for a professional environment and mutual respect. Discover what boundaries the participants want in their unique environment and make a plan to implement them. Create an environment that is open and supportive with families.
Following lunch, the afternoon training will help you to identify complexities that families face that prevent successful communication. Learn how to communicate professionally with families, while being compassionate and understanding. Examine best practices and strategies for dealing with difficult conversations.
