Compeer Financial expands support for rural communities
Northland Foundation joins Compeer Financial in Rural Collaboration
The Northland Foundation is one of 13 foundations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois selected to participate in the Rural Collaboration Project with a $75,000 grant from the Compeer Financial Fund for Rural America donor-advised fund, the Agriculture and Rural Initiative.
The $75,000 in Rural Collaboration Project dollars, along with $100,000 in matching funds from Northland, will help provide consulting and technical assistance to build internal capacity among nonprofit and business entities in our region. Northland has also created a funding pool for grantmaking to help participants implement capacity-building organizational improvements.
“We are honored to have been invited by Compeer Financial to participate in the Rural Collaboration Project to support our mutual goals of strong and vital rural communities.” — Tony Sertich, Northland Foundation President
